Pursuant to Article 37 of Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the EUROPEAN PARLIAMENT AND OF THE COUNCIL of 27 April 2016 on the protection of natural persons with regard to the processing of personal data and on the free movement of such data (hereinafter: Regulation (EU) 2016/679) and repealing Directive 95/46/EC (General Data Protection Regulation) [1] and Article 1 of the Act on the Implementation of the General Data Protection Regulation (official gazette of the Republic of Croatia “Narodne novine” No. 42/18.), the company MARINA KAŠTELA d.o.o. (OIB: 91193992241), on 16 January 2024, adopts the present

Article 1

Viktorija Ban, employed in the position of administrator, is appointed as the Data Protection Officer of Marine Kaštela d.o.o.

Article 2

The Data Protection Officer:
  • informs and advises the data controller or processor as well as employees involved in processing about their obligations under Regulation (EU) 2016/679, other EU provisions and the Act on the Implementation of the General Data Protection Regulation,
  • monitors compliance with Regulation (EU) 2016/679, other EU provisions and the policies of the data controller or processor regarding the protection of personal data, including the allocation of responsibilities, raising awareness, and training the staff involved in processing activities, as well as related audits,
  • provides advice, as requested, regarding data protection impact assessments and monitors their implementation in accordance with Article 35 of Regulation (EU) 2016/679 and the Act on the Implementation of the General Data Protection Regulation,
  • • collaborates with the Personal Data Protection Agency,
  • acts as a contact point for the Personal Data Protection Agency on issues related to processing, including prior consulting under Article 36 of Regulation (EU) 2016/679 and consulting, as necessary, on any other matters.

Article 3

The Data Protection Officer is bound by confidentiality in carrying out their duties, as mandated by Regulation (EU) 2016/679, other EU regulations, and the Act on the Implementation of the General Data Protection Regulation.

Article 4

Furthermore, the Data Protection Officer may assume additional responsibilities and duties. In such instances, it is the responsibility of the data controller or processor to ensure that these tasks do not give rise to conflicts of interest.
