Another week of the Mirno more Peace Fleet has come to an end, leaving behind a multitude of unforgettable memories, friendships, and shared moments. We would like to thank all the participants, sponsors, donors, and volunteers whose efforts and enthusiasm have made this project a reality and helped it grow year after year, bringing joy to children from all over the world.
The final dinner, held at the Nautic restaurant in Marina Kaštela, rounded off the week perfectly, gathering participants to celebrate the success of this year’s fleet. The celebration was filled with smiles, joyful stories and gratitude, while children, volunteers and crew members shared their experiences. Marina Kaštela, as the traditional host of this event, provided the perfect setting to end another successful year.
“We are just a pebble in this mosaic, a week during which we offer children a chance to sail, go on excursions, socialise, but also to learn the values of integration, inclusion, and tolerance. The goal is to overcome exclusions and reject prejudices,” said Ivona Smoljić, Director of Marine Kaštela, stressing the importance of involving children from different backgrounds.
This year’s fleet gathered more than 800 children and 200 volunteers from around the world, and various workshops, sailing, and social activities provided children with the opportunity to enjoy adventures on the Adriatic Sea, but also to gain new friendships and learn about the importance of togetherness and tolerance.
Thanks to the generous support of sponsors, donors, and volunteers, the Mirno more project continues to show that love for the sea and people can be shared regardless of borders, social status, or origin.
