The past two days at Marina Kaštela were marked by unforgettable moments of this year’s gathering of participants of the Mirno more 2024 project.
On Tuesday, ships arrived at Marina Kaštela, where participants were warmly welcomed by the hosts. The first day was marked by a burger party on the beach, offering participants the opportunity to casually socialise by the sea. In the afternoon, a photography workshop was held in the Nautic restaurant.
On Wednesday, all ships remained moored in Marina Kaštela, and the day was filled with various activities. A skipper meeting was held in the morning, in the pergola of the Spinnaker restaurant, where skippers and crew members gathered to exchange sailing experiences and plan future activities together.
Afterwards, participants took part in the Peace Workshop at the Nautic restaurant. This inspiring workshop recalled the core values of the Mirno more project – the importance of tolerance, empathy, and respect among different cultures and individuals.
Wednesday ended in the true spirit of the project – with the Peace Festival, a traditional concert that brings together participants every year in a celebration of friendship, community, and peace.
Today the participants sailed from Marina Kaštela, with gracious thanks via VHF radio. These touching words of gratitude and support between the crews symbolise the end of one part of the journey, but also the continuation of the lasting friendship that developed during the sailing.
For all participants who have chosen Marina Kaštela as their home port, a final dinner will be organised on Friday at 5:00 p.m.
This year’s Mirno more – Peace Fleet proved once again that the sea is not only a symbol of freedom, but also a bridge connecting people of different nations, cultures, and worldviews, united by a common goal – building a better and more peaceful world.
