MIRNO MORE PEACE FLEET 2025: A Week Ends in the Spirit of Peace and Friendship

The Mirno More week, Europe’s largest socio-pedagogical project for children and youth, once again concluded successfully this year, marked by the spirit of togetherness and friendship.

The Peace Fleet celebrated its 31st anniversary, while Marina Kaštela opened its doors for the twelfth time to participants from different countries. The hosts, led by Joško Berket, welcomed the fleet with great joy and enthusiasm, further strengthening the mission of this unique project.

The first boats arrived at Marina Kaštela on Tuesday, 16 September, where they were warmly welcomed by volunteers and hosts ready to embark on an unforgettable experience. The evening unfolded in a relaxed, joyful atmosphere with music and gatherings on the beach. Participants were already exchanging stories and forging new friendships.

Wednesday was dedicated to activities within the marina. At the morning meeting of skippers and crews, sailing experiences were shared and plans for future joint adventures were made. The day culminated in the traditional evening celebration, the Peace Festival, filled with music and laughter, which symbolically marked the close of their shared voyage.

On Thursday, the Peace Fleet set sail in a ceremonial formation along the Kaštela coast, offering a spectacular visual display and a powerful message of peace. The ceremony further strengthened the sense of unity among participants and left an unforgettable impression on all who witnessed it.

The farewell evening for participants whose boats were berthed at the marina took place on 19 September, while Mirno More 2025 officially concluded on 20 September with participants returning to their home countries. They took back unforgettable experiences, new friendships, and memories to last a lifetime.

Project director Ivona Smoljić reflected: “Every year, this fleet reminds us of the importance of friendship, tolerance, and togetherness. I am especially delighted to see children and young people from different countries creating memories together that they will cherish for a lifetime. Mirno More is not just a project – it is a true school of life.”

We extend our heartfelt thanks to everyone whose effort and goodwill helped make this year’s gathering a celebration of peace and friendship.

We now eagerly look forward to the next edition of the Mirno More Peace Fleet, to be held from 12 to 19 September 2026, and to meeting again at Marina Kaštela!
